Member Rules of the Elderwood Circle
A member must take an oath not to reveal the names of members of the circle. We must protect out fellows in the craft from excess persecution for being members of the craft. Do not reveal the names by which we honor the gods. This is for us alone and identifies us as the Elderwood circle. Do not show up for meetings and classes intoxicated or high. Casual intoxication at home is alright, but being so at the classes and rituals is disrespectful of your non-indulging circle mates. Do not start arguments, fights, or other inappropriate conflicts, it’s a disrespectful towards your craft sisters and brothers to engage in such behaviors Do not use the circle for self glorification, power issues, or any such behavior. It is not in keeping with craft law. Do not use people’s things or the circle’s things without permission. Honor all the gods and treat them with respect. All gods come from the same place. There is no one truth, so don’t try to impose your truth on another. Do not use the craft to manipulate others without their expressed permission. To do so is tantamount to slavery. The circle’s place will be maintained by all. Treat all with respect, we are all children of the gods no matter how contrary we may seem. Outsiders may have something to teach so don’t ignore or disrespect them. Skyclad is not our way. We were raised in a manner that leaves the body a distraction. The gods lead us so act with humor, love, respect, faith, mercy, justice, and kindness. Do not behave with hate, spite, or ignorance. Read and understand the Ordains, they are not a joke. Be kind and learn to accept kindness Live!!!!!! |

Admittance Policy
As with any group on the fringes, we may attract less attractive personalities. It is with this in mind that we have composed this admittance policy. It is for our protection as well as the protection of others.
We accept. Those with a genuine desire to learn. Those seeking enlightenment. Those who have practiced the craft before and now seek a group setting. Those who wish to honor the gods. Those who wish to join like minded individuals in a social or religious setting.
We refuse: Those with a consistently violent history who have no justification for it by our standards. Those with drug habits. Those with severe problematic mental health disorders.* Those who delight in harming others. Those who are interested only for fun. Those without the time that study takes. Those who want to control others. Those whose beliefs conflict seriously with our own. Those who will interfere with circle operations.
This is our policy of admittance. People requesting a rehearing can do so by filing with the bard. Special cases will be heard by the council of elders. Goddess and God Bless
* This is only in the case of those refusing treatment of some sort for a severe disorder that interferes with the person’s ability to understand reality, both normal physical and astral. Generally those who have the most difficulty are untreated bipolar, schizophrenia, severe autism, antisocial personality disorders, untreated ptsd type issues, and the like. A hearing can be requested if the applicant believes, their denial was unjust for this reason to allow the applicant to plead their case. |
