Spell and Ritual Food for Thought

1.              Set aside a room for your magical work. Decorate it with things that put you in a magical mood. Remember to use things that stimulate all five of your physical senses. Some obvious things would be the use of appropriate colors for sight, incense for scent music for hearing, wines for taste, and textures for feel. If you do not have a room you can set aside exclusively for your magical work then choose a room that can be locked while you do your work. This will allow you to work undisturbed. In any case you should clean your work area periodically with a purifying powder/floorwash to keep away negative vibrations.

2.              Set up an altar to be used as your worktable. It's size and shape should be those that appeal to you. Placing candles and other items that assist you to concentrate on the work at hand is a good practice. Some people like to cover their altar with a white cloth and place fresh cut flowers on it every day.

3.              Always use the best candles, oils, and incenses that you can afford, or make your own. Scrimping on materials has a negative effect on the subconscious. Don't forget that the subconscious is very good at making do with raw materials that it can shape to it's own use.

4.              Never cast a spell until you have a clear and concise picture of what it is you wish to accomplish. This ties in with the saying "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

5.              Always ground out any extra energy you raise for the spell, and bind the spell so that it expires within the pre- determined amount of time.

6.              Once you have cast the spell do not discuss it with any one until after it has worked. Most spells peter out because the person who casts it boasts about it to so many people, that the spell is robbed of power before it has a chance to work. The ancient bond placed on the magician was to dare, to know and to keep silent.

Souls and magick

A few thoughts on the nature of Souls, gods, magick, and the Universe

The Soul, non corporeal existence, and other planes of existence

The soul is energy

That energy makes up our being

We are the result of our energy vibrating at certain frequencies.

All things are the result of all energy vibrating at its various frequencies.

The current being is merely one of many incarnations of a portion of energy.

When a soul completes its cycles of incarnation, it can vibrate at any frequency and becomes one with the forces of the universe.

The forces of the Universe are the well of souls.

All souls start in the well of souls and they return to the well of souls in the end. It’s a never ending circle.

The Universe has no beginning and no ending. It has no center and no edge. It is everything.

The God and the Goddess are the controls of the forces of the Universe.

The God is the action.

The Goddess is the manifestation of the universe in all its complexities.

Both or either one can be appealed to or worked with for work in magick.

We are a part of the power of the Goddess and the God

The more power that we credit to the Goddess and the God, the more apparent power they have in our lives

The soul and magick are connected because the power of the souls is the source tapped for magick.

Magick is the miracle of existence.

Magick is heart felt, not from the logic oriented.

Magick works from the deepest parts of ourselves

We must believe magick will work for it to work.

We connect with all this when we become magick workers.

Magick works through our connection to the universe, the Goddess, and the God by extension.

Magick is the purposeful manipulation of something within the universe.

When you try to use your energy alone for magick, you drain yourself far more than when you tap into the universe for your power source.

Time Illusion

A few thoughts on time

Time does not exist outside the mind of the being experiencing their perception of time.

Any observations of time are invalid because time has changed as it was observed.

Our lives being limited are what cause us to time everything.

People who live in a somewhat timeless state (ruled by the seasons, not years or the clock) tend to be timeless. They don’t age like the rest of the world. Nor are they as stressed out.

The measurement of time is artificial. Time can not really be measured because what can not be proven to exist can not be measured.

Time is not a force.

Time is not a basic element of the universe.

Time is not a linear one-way product of experience.

The experience of time is merely a lesson in perception and the universe.

Times pace changes because we perceive it as a changing when it doesn’t change at all.

Time as it exists is instantaneous, rather, all times exist at the same time. Our brains perceive it as one frame at a time despite the fact that its all there so we only see a part at a moment.

Time is a lake, not a flowing river. It is static and all together as one point.

When one is not incarnated, time does not exist.

The end of time is the beginning, as all circles go.

The circle of time goes through contraction and expansion, it’s the natural order.

The ending of the circle is just the basis of the beginning of the circle of time.

The concept of infinity negates the concept of time because a principle of time is that it has to be measurable and infinity is by definition immeasurable.

what I learned about the soul, reincarnation and what life means at least to me. This is constantly changing

Questions I am working on

what is time?

time is the perception of the orderly flow of events. Time is measured but not truely comprehendable in its entireity. The concept of eternity not only makes my blood run cold to think of it, it doesn't make sense. If time is eternal, why is there talk of a beginning. To have a beginning a thing must have an end.

how does time operate?

According to scientists and most people, time operates by moving in an orderly progression. It moves at the exact same rate at all times. Time is so stable according to most scientists that it becomes a basis and control for many of the sciences.

what are its little indiocycrisies?

Time seems to speed up or slow down. Time can not go on forever if it had a beginning. To observe time takes time. People who ignore time live longer and age slower. The older a person gets, the quicker time flies.

does time really exist? If so or not, why?

In my opinion, no. No beginning, no end. Have a beginning, have an end.

what is the universe

the dimenion to which our limited mind is assigned and has yet to expand beyond

are the scientists right about it

no, our sciences are such baby things that they have no real understanding of the universie or the multiverse. For example. A small child might think the earth is the center of the solar system since things go "around" the earth in the sky but as we grow we learn this is not true.

what ideas of the universe do I disagree with

the big bang theory and the expansion of the universe theory. It wouldn't have slowed down expansion if it was going to expand till it pulled apart. and it would have collapsed just as quickly if it was going to collapse.

what is science

the study of the nature of things

is science absolute

scientists think it is. it really isn't though cause there are to many variables to be written into laws the way the scientists have.

does science have limitations

yes

what is faith

belief in that which one can not see but still thinks exists

can faith work

yes, it gives a basis for hope

how does faith influence people

it can make people better or worse than they would be on their own.

what kinds of elements can be included in faith

religious, spiritual

what is death

the end of the physical body

how do I look at death

as an end of life. something to be feared greatly in case its the total end

what of life after death

the coninuation of the spirit and or reincarnation of the spirit into the next life.

is death a bad thing

yes, cause we miss people, and no because it clears the way for new life

why do people only mourn death instead of both mourning and celebrating

because we are taught that there is nothing more or we are taught that we will not see our loved ones again because of a so called "judgement" on our lives

does death lead us to hate the old

I feel it does because we fear the old because we will be there some day, just as we will be dead someday. So we disrespect our elderly and try to hide them away so that we can forget the old and the dead don't exist in our everyday lives.

what is the soul

that energy based part of us that continues after we die

what is the nature of the soul

It carries all experiences and thought to the next level, whatever that may be. It is not the "us" we know now but is the sum of all, including things we forgot or tried not to think and it is far greater than us, If a person believes in reincarnation it carries the sum of multiple lives with it.

how do we interact with our soul

through meditation and interacting with the child within. That child sees via symbols and we must learn to understand symbols and our own psyche to interact effectively with the soul.

how does the soul show what it knows when we are alive

via dreams, visions, fruedian slips, poetry, art, faith, the words of very small children when they say something really wise and shouldn't be able to.

what does the soul do when the corporeal body is dead

it filters away to the next level

why do some people concider the conquering of the corporeal body to be a sign of attainment

it is a sign of self control, and if one conciders the body a sinful thing then it is a sign of being able to control the sinful flesh

what is reincarnation

rebirth of the soul through multiple lives

how does reincarnation and the soul interact

the soul is the aspect that goes through reincarnation for reasons beyond comprehension to some, for some there are reasons....nirvana, evolution to perfection, etc. Reincarnation is the vehicle for growth

why reincarnation

perhaps cause one life is too short to learn so much

why no faith in science

because anything unqualifiable and unquantifiable is not concidered to "exist"

why no science in faith

because by definition faith means belief in the unprovavle by scientific means

why is magick disliked

because some people in authority don't want others to have an uncontrollable power that the authority can't stop the use of

how does magick work

see the article I wrote

why should a person do magick

to get to a better palce with themselves and in life or to help others

what is the dark night of the soul

when you lose your faith and there seems no purpose to anything

how does the dark night affect a person

make them seem depressed. This is a hard period and a person can't be talked out of it. This is when

why do some believe in an "us or them" approach to life

because some people want to remain childish about the differences in life. its easier to kill if a person is a "them"

why do some feel killing the name of faith is allowable

because some religions holy books say its okay adn so instead of wondering about it thety blindly follow it

what is the nature of god

totally unknowable by limited human minds

why is god concidered a man

to support man's dominance over women and nature

why is the written word ever believed as a true sign of faith

cause its easier than thinking or being intellegent

Our souls evolve constantly.

Each thought is a little soul evolution
